Abnormal vibration of stainless steel bearings should be taken seriously

Under normal circumstances, stainless steel bearings will produce a certain amount of noise during machine operation. However, if the vibration level of stainless steel bearings increases significantly, especially when the vibration in the high-frequency band is very obvious, we should attach great importance to it. 


If stainless steel bearings experience abnormal vibration, we can consider it from the following four aspects: 


1. It may be that the number of loaded rolling elements has changed, resulting in vibration. Based on decades of experience in building the factory, Yinghong Transmission believes that when a radial load is applied to a certain bearing, it will cause a change in the number of rolling elements, which will then cause the load direction to shift, which will easily produce vibration. However, at this time, we can reduce the vibration through axial preloading. 


2. If the stainless steel bearing is partially damaged, it is also prone to abnormal vibration. The root cause is incorrect operation or installation, which will cause damage to some bearing raceways and rolling elements. When stainless steel bearings are running, these damaged parts will produce a certain vibration frequency. At this time, we can use these frequencies to analyze the damaged bearing components and find the problem. 


3. It may be that the accuracy of stainless steel bearing-related parts does not meet the requirements. For example, when the bearing ring and the bearing seat or the transmission shaft are closely matched, if the accuracy of the parts does not meet the requirements, it may cause the bearing ring and adjacent parts to cooperate more frequently and cause deformation, eventually causing abnormal vibration. 


4. It may be that the stainless steel bearings are contaminated and impurities appear inside. If a stainless steel bearing is operated in a polluted environment, some impurities may enter its interior and be crushed by the rolling elements. Abnormal vibration will also occur at this time, and the intensity of the vibration generally depends on the number, size and composition of the crushed impurity particles.
