PEEK Bearings for Chemical, Thermal and Electrical Demanding Applications

Jiangsu Yinghong Transmission Technology Co., Ltd. is a professional China PEEK Bearings manufacturer, operating under the YHU brand. Our plastic bearing program includes PEEK as one of the high-performance material families we produce, alongside POM, PP, UPE, PTFE, PVDF, PA66, PI and specially modified plastics. We supply OEM and replacement PEEK bearings for projects that need corrosion resistance, high-temperature capability, self-lubrication, electrical insulation, non-magnetic behavior or low weight.

PEEK is the highest-performing standard thermoplastic in our range, and we apply the same dimensional control, raceway finishing and assembly discipline to it as we do to our bearing steel, stainless steel and ceramic lines. A PEEK bearing is not simply a machined plastic ring; it is designed as a rolling bearing with appropriate ball complement, cage guidance, clearance and sealing for the operating point.

PEEK Bearing Range and Application Fit

We produce PEEK bearings in the geometries that dominate compact and instrument-class equipment: deep groove ball bearings, flanged miniature bearings and custom non-standard shapes. Because there is no standardized PEEK bearing catalog that matches every OEM envelope, each configuration is reviewed against the actual housing, shaft and load conditions.

Range Typical Fit Design Features
PEEK deep groove ball bearings Chemical pumps, mixers, flow meters, medical instruments, semiconductor equipment Low friction, dry-running capability, corrosion resistance, quiet operation
PEEK flanged bearings Compact shafts in instruments, printers, encoders, small automation modules Flanged outer ring provides axial location and simplifies housing design
Custom non-standard PEEK bearings OEM assemblies with special bores, ODs, widths, or integrated features Developed from drawings or samples; ring geometry and ball complement optimized

PEEK bearings can be supplied in the same compact envelope as our Deep Groove Ball Bearings, and the flanged versions are also part of our Flanged Bearings range. For unusual mounting features, we develop a custom drawing before quoting.

Where PEEK Bearings Replace Metal or Other Plastics

PEEK bearings are selected when the application exceeds the continuous temperature or mechanical limits of POM, PA66, UPE or PTFE, or when a metal bearing cannot be lubricated or insulated. Typical examples include the following:

  • Chemical and dosing pumps operating in aggressive media where steel races corrode.
  • Wet-process semiconductor tools requiring chemical resistance and electrical insulation.
  • Medical and analytical devices exposed to repeated sterilization or cleaning agents.
  • Aerospace and robotics assemblies where weight reduction and non-magnetic behavior matter.
  • Textile, packaging and food equipment where self-lubrication avoids oil contamination.

PEEK Material and Bearing Engineering

PEEK offers the highest continuous-use temperature among the unfilled engineering thermoplastics we process, along with good stiffness, creep resistance and dimensional stability. It resists a wide range of acids, alkalis, solvents and hydrocarbons, and its low moisture absorption helps maintain clearances when the bearing moves between dry and wet conditions.

Configuration choices we consider for every PEEK bearing

  • Ring material: unfilled PEEK for chemical and electrical performance; carbon-fiber or glass-reinforced PEEK when higher stiffness and lower expansion are required.
  • Rolling elements: glass, carbon, ceramic or stainless balls chosen for load, chemical and speed conditions.
  • Cage: machined or injection-molded PEEK or other polymers depending on speed, temperature and noise targets.
  • Sealing: shielding for low torque, or contact and non-contact seals for contamination control; options can be specified for autoclave or washdown use.
  • Clearance: set to account for PEEK expansion, mounting fit and operating temperature so the bearing does not preload itself in service.

Precision, Capacity and Production Support

Our Jiangsu factory uses Japanese precision manufacturing technology and automated production lines to produce YHU bearings with consistent dimensional accuracy and assembly quality. For plastic bearings, that means controlled raceway geometry, stable ball pockets and repeatable internal clearance in both small prototypes and series batches.

PEEK bearings are often integrated into motors, pumps, sensors and rotary stages inside automated lines. When we prepare a proposal, we confirm the interface dimensions with the customer, including shaft and housing fit, flange pilot where applicable, and any mounting features around the bearing. This reduces installation risk and makes line integration straightforward.

Quality Assurance and OEM Customization

Yinghong operates as a National High-Tech Enterprise and holds IATF 16949, RoHS, CE and SGS certifications. Our closed-loop quality system covers raw material intake, production process control and finished product inspection, with verification of precision, noise, vibration, sealing, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. This applies equally to plastic bearing production.

For custom PEEK bearings, we provide full-process service from solution design and prototype production to mass delivery and after-sales support. Our engineering team can optimize material grade, raceway geometry and sealing for the specific industry condition, whether the target is an electric motor, medical device, semiconductor tool or aerospace assembly.

Information We Use to Prepare Your PEEK Bearing Solution

To configure the correct PEEK bearing and quote the project accurately, we need the operating point and application constraints. The following data helps us select material grade, ball type, cage, clearance, sealing and inspection level.

  • Bore, outer diameter, width and mounting arrangement, or a drawing or sample.
  • Shaft and housing material, fit and tolerance class.
  • Speed, radial load, axial load, and whether the load is constant or oscillating.
  • Fluid or media type, temperature range, washdown, sterilization or vacuum conditions.
  • Lubrication requirements, including dry running or food-grade grease.
  • Noise and vibration limits, target life, and prototype versus series quantity.
  • Regulatory or material compliance expectations such as RoHS, FDA or REACH.

PEEK Bearings: Questions From Project Teams

What makes PEEK different from POM, PA66 or PTFE bearings?

PEEK provides the highest temperature capability and mechanical strength among the thermoplastic bearing materials we manufacture. It also has very low moisture absorption and broad chemical resistance, so it is used where standard plastics would soften, swell or degrade.

Can PEEK bearings run without grease or oil?

Yes, in many dry-running applications. PEEK has inherent self-lubricating behavior, and the ball, cage and raceway combination can be optimized for low friction. For higher loads or speeds, we can select a compatible grease or solid lubricant package to extend life.

Do you only make standard deep groove PEEK bearings?

No. We make deep groove and flanged PEEK bearings, and we develop custom non-standard products from drawings or samples. Bore, OD, width, flange position, ball complement and sealing can be adapted to the OEM envelope.

What quality evidence do you provide with PEEK bearings?

Our certification base includes IATF 16949, RoHS, CE and SGS, and our production line is supported by high-precision inspection equipment. Product measurements and material compliance can be documented in the order quality plan.

How should I specify a PEEK bearing for an aggressive chemical environment?

Send us the media, concentration, temperature and cleaning cycle. We use that data to select the right PEEK grade, ball material, cage and sealing solution, and we confirm whether a completely plastic bearing or a hybrid arrangement is the better choice.
