View MoreYHU is a professional SUS440 Angular Contact Ball Bearings manufacturer producing precision stainless steel angular contact bearings at our Yancheng factory in China. We combine Japanese precision manufacturing technology with automated production lines and high-precision inspection equipment to serve OEMs, distributors and engineering teams that need a corrosion-resistant bearing capable of handling combined loads.
Angular contact ball bearings use raceways that are offset along the bearing axis, creating a defined contact angle. This geometry allows one bearing to support a radial load and an axial load in one direction, and it gives the system high rigidity when bearings are mounted in opposition. In SUS440, the rings and balls are machined from high-carbon martensitic stainless steel, hardenable to high hardness while offering far better corrosion resistance than conventional bearing steel.
Because SUS440 angular contact ball bearings are used in both standard machinery and specialized clean or washdown environments, we manufacture the range in several functional forms:
For pump shafts, gearboxes, spindles and similar units where axial load acts in one direction and the opposite bearing or housing provides the opposing location.
Back-to-back, face-to-face or tandem matched sets for higher stiffness, bidirectional axial load and predictable preload in precision assemblies.
With contact seals, non-contact seals or metal shields to match lubrication, contamination and friction requirements.
Special bores, outer profiles, widths, contact angles, cage materials and preload classes produced from drawings or measured samples.
For other stainless bearing families from the same YHU range, see our SUS440 Stainless Steel Bearings or SUS440 Flange Bearings when the application requires deep groove or flanged mounting.
We supply this range to equipment builders and replacement-bearing distributors working in food processing, medical devices, marine and offshore equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, pumps, robots, textile machinery and precision instruments. The stainless material reduces the risk of surface corrosion in washdown or humid environments, while the angular contact geometry keeps shafts accurately located under a combination of radial and axial forces.
The table below summarizes the main application patterns we see and the bearing configuration we normally consider with the customer:
| Application | Load Condition | Typical Configuration |
|---|---|---|
| Machine tool spindles and grinding spindles | High speed, combined axial and radial loads | Matched pair with preload, high-precision class |
| Food and beverage pumps | Washdown exposure, one-direction thrust | Sealed single row with corrosion-resistant cage |
| Medical and dental instruments | Low noise, small envelope, axial location | Narrow-series sealed bearing, custom bore |
| Marine and offshore actuators | Salt atmosphere, moderate speed, axial positioning | SUS440 rings and balls with enhanced sealing |
| Semiconductor handling equipment | Cleanroom, chemical or acid/alkali exposure | Low-friction shield or non-contact seal |
For each SUS440 angular contact bearing project, we define the operating and dimensional envelope before cutting any material. The following parameters are the core of our proposal and manufacturing plan:
We are set up as a bearing customization supplier, not only a standard-catalog producer. Our R&D team can develop bearings from drawings or samples, adjust the internal geometry, and provide solution design, prototype production, mass delivery and after-sales technical support. That is especially valuable when a standard SUS440 angular contact bearing does not fit the housing, speed range, load direction or lubrication system of an existing machine.
Typical supported changes include modified bores and outer diameters, narrower or wider rings, non-standard contact angles, special seal grooves, custom cage pockets, and preload classes selected for an assembled spindle or gearbox rather than for a loose bearing.
As a National High-Tech Enterprise, we operate a closed-loop quality management system from raw material warehousing through production processes to finished product delivery. Our testing equipment covers precision, noise, vibration, sealing, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and we have obtained IATF 16949, RoHS, CE and SGS certification evidence. For SUS440 angular contact bearings, this means the material identity, hardness, dimensions and running behavior are tracked through production and documented for the delivered batch.
Our Wholesale SUS440 Angular Contact Ball Bearings Factory operates automated production lines, so the range can be supplied in series quantities with consistent geometry and repeatable performance. If the application demands a particular noise level, lubrication specification or preload group, we include those criteria in the production inspection plan.
For an accurate proposal, please provide as much of the following as possible:
Angular contact bearings are sensitive to installation preload and alignment. In our proposals, we state the bearing clearances, recommended fitting practice and the correct tightening or clamping method for the mounting arrangement. For sealed versions, the bearing is factory-lubricated; for open versions, we define the grease or oil requirement so the system can be filled correctly during installation.
Maintenance mainly depends on the seal and lubricant. Contact-sealed bearings are usually treated as maintenance-free, while shielded or open versions need a controlled lubrication schedule. We support customers with failure analysis and bearing design optimization when repeated damage or short service life points to a system issue rather than a bearing defect.
SUS440 is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel that can be hardened to high hardness, making it suitable for precision bearing raceways and balls. SUS304 and SUS316 are austenitic, more corrosion-resistant but not hardenable by heat treatment, so they are normally used where corrosion resistance matters more than load capacity. In angular contact ball bearings, SUS440 is the common choice for precision and stiffness with good environmental resistance.
Yes, we support OEM and ODM custom bearing development. Send a drawing, sample, or part number; we can adjust bore, outside diameter, width, contact angle, cage, seals, preload and materials, then proceed from prototype to mass production.
We supply matched pairs with controlled preload and height differences, typically in DB (back-to-back), DF (face-to-face) and DT (tandem) arrangements. The pair is measured as a set and delivered with inspection data so installation and preload are predictable.
We can provide material confirmation, dimension inspection reports, noise and vibration test results, and other records from our quality system. We are certified under IATF 16949, RoHS, CE and SGS, and we align the inspection plan with the acceptance requirements of the order.
They can be, when the correct cage, lubrication, contact angle and preload are selected. We use this information to set the speed limit in the proposal. For very high speeds, a lighter cage material or a different contact angle will be considered.
The bearing reference or drawing, operating speed, load and direction, shaft and housing fits, temperature, lubrication, target life, required quantity and any acceptance tests. With this data, our proposal will define the actual configuration, production inspection and packaging for your application.
Our portfolio also includes Products for applications with different operating ranges, interfaces or integration requirements.
